It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since we first fired up the flattop for Steve’s Meltdown—a bold, melty experiment that started as a ghost kitchen right here at Steve’s Hot Dogs. What began as a fun side hustle during uncertain times has since become one of St. Louis’s go-to spots for creative, crave-worthy grilled cheese.

Now, with two full-time locations—one at City Foundry STL, and our newest location inside Steve’s Hot Dogs in The District at Chesterfield—we’re ready to celebrate our roots and everything we’ve built with you by our side.

And what better time to do that than National Grilled Cheese Day?

To mark the occasion, we’re going all out. Come celebrate with us at both Meltdown locations and enjoy:

  • Brand-new menu items you’ve never seen before

Here’s What’s New on the Menu:

  • Buffalo Springfield Grilled Cheese – A spicy twist on the classic with grilled chicken, Buffalo sauce, pepperjack, mozzarella, and provel on toasted ciabatta. Served with a side of ranch.

  • 30 Seconds to Mascarpone – A rich, indulgent dessert grilled cheese with Nutella, white cheddar, and mascarpone on sourdough, served with chocolate sauce for dipping.

  • Buffalo Soldier Bowl – Mac ’n cheese loaded with Buffalo chicken, melty provel, and a bold Buffalo drizzle.

  • Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup – A creamy, comforting scratch-made soup that’s bound to become a new favorite.
